Has anyone tried to get Acura to make a car different from the stated color combinations? Ex: Getting a different color interior than what is said in the brochure. If so, did you have to pay extra? What was the time frame for delivery? I ask because the Aegean Blue TL-S with a parchment interior would be too sweet! I can't stand the "bowling ball" trim on the black interior.

 

I am almost certain that Acura will not make any special combinations, unlike the combinations you can get in BMW and other europeans cars. I think it helps keeps overall costs down on the cars.

Ok, not to say that I've got connections, but I've got a little pull... I tugged to try and get a Monterrey Blue 3.2 CL Type-S back in August. They do make them in the blue, just not for US sales (Canadian). Anyhow it wouldn't have been too complicated for them to do it, but it couldn't be done.... ....even with some inside help. So I can gurantee you that if they won't even do it for a color that is for that model but just not for that trim, then there is no way they'd do something else. Sorry dude, but the good news is the 2002's will have some new colors, take a look in the Type-S forum, there's a color chart in there!
