well you can wait until the a-spec is out, but those headlights most likely will cost you atleast $200 a side...or you can paint them yourself.

To add to what peiqinglong said.... keep in mind that the A-spec is a Canada only model right now... so the only way to get them would be through a Canadian dealer.. and who knows if they'll be able to ship them to the states....

When the car is released in Feb. we'll have a better idea.

As far as I know....pricing for parts hasn't been released yet.... b/c the A-spec is not out until Februrary.

If you got the A-SPEC headlights... snap some pics and let us know what dealer you got them from!!

FYI... regular 2002 and 2003 headlight housings are around $175 from this site....

Paint them yourself? Anyone got a close up of the a-specs so we can see exactly how to paint them?

The A-Spec headlights are bascially the same as the 2003 CL headlights... so if you can get a good look at one of those you'll have an idea of how to paint it. Otherwise you can take a peek at the A-Spec topic which has some pics: http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...ighlight=aspec

as far as I know, Canadians don't get HIDS..so the bulb holder and optics of the housing might not be right for your D2R bulbs. I'm not saying it won't work, but it might not be optimal unless they make a D2R bulb holder. Nameen....can you comment on this please?

It should be fine.. the Canadian CLs and TLs both have HIDs. The only difference is that the Canadian models use the high beams on a "low" setting as Daytime Running Lights. We don't have DRLs here on those cars. They also don't have Navi.

lucky...I thought all Canadian cars had no HIDS. I knwo the AUDI's don't get them. It's a pita to do a HID conversion sicen the DRL's are in the low beams. One has to mes with relays to get more than the DRL 8 volts to xenon ballasts. Typically the ballasts need at least 9 to ignite and run.

We have lots of HIDs up here in Canada. Audi, MB, BMW, TL, etc...Now it's tempting for me to setup a "distribution center" to ship A-spec headlights to the states

But if you actually get the headlight from the dealer then you would have to have either NBP or ABP to match right?

Correct.. those are the only two colors it's available for.

Keep in mind that the 2003 CL's have black housings on every color... so if you don't have a Black or Agean Blue TL you can still do the black housing and it should look sweet....
