Spark Plugs

Have 70,000 on my 02 TL-S. Any need to change the spark plugs? I didn't own the car for the first 55,000 so doubt they have been previously changed.

What to change to? Don't mind spending the extra money for the Densos but are they worth the extra cash?

your stock ones will last fine till 100k, but if you want to replace them get the NGK iridium plugs. they last 100k while the Denso iridiums last less than half that time and cost more.

I just replaced my plugs for the first time at 127K. I put NGK Iridiums in. I bought them at pepboys for like 60 bucks, and installed them myself last week! Not hard at all!

Why not use the OEM spark plugs? Which is better NGK G Power, Iridium and Platinum?

Heard that NGK and Denso are good. Are other brands any good? Bosch, AC Delco, Autolite, etc.

The original plugs ar good for 100,000 miles before you need to change them.

OEM plugs are NGK platinum - the NGK Inidium plugs are just better and have the same life span as the stock ones, and can be found cheeper than stockers. Stay away from the others you listed...only put NGK or Denso's on our cars and be sure you get the right ones

Well I guess 60 bucks included a socket wrench, and an allen wrench set that cost like 20 bucks. I didn't have the 6mm allen, so I got a set of them that attach to my socket wrench. I figured I'd use them around the house one day anyways.
