NGK Iridium or Iridium IX (racer version) of the correct heat range for a type S stock is a good start
Then do plug checks to see if that heat is good with the fuel/air/exhaust mix
Plugs tell you right away if the engine is happy

May need a step colder for long high speed trips or hotter plug for other uses

as said above NGK Iridium IX is where its at. they are $7 a piece at autozone or local auto parts store, coming to a total of $42 for all six spark plugs.

i also made a do-it-yourself (DIY) to help anyone that wants to learn the ins and outs of changing the spark plugs on our cars.

here is the link: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/spark-plug-replace-change-diy-760163/

have fun and if you do them. the rear passenger side spark plug is hard to remove but a breeze to put the new one back in!

its easy if you use a 3 and 6 inch extension on the plug socket- lowering down sections
There is even a bump out on the firewall for your hand!

It was probably the toughest to get to, but still not too bad. It took me about 30-45 minutes for me to replace all six plugs 2 1/2 years ago at 80k.

Long reach plug socket works even better, IMO.

Its very easy, spark plug change on these cars is a 20 min job on the TL-P 25 min on the TL-S (its easiest to remove the 2 bolts that hold the IMRC on and move it out of the way which takes the additional 5 min). I could probably get the garage cleanup in that time as well.

Very easy change, I bought the NGK Iridium IX plugs and noticed a huge difference after the change out.
