Spare Tire Mounting Hub
I searched but couldn't really get an answer. A couple months back I had posted how my spare tire didn't fit correctly in the tub. I took another look at it today. My question is, is the spare tire mounting hub parallel to the ground, or does it tilt forward? By spare tire mounting hub, I mean the raised part in the middle of the tub where you screw the bolt in. Mine tilts forward, the top face isn't parallel to the ground. I don't know if it somehow got bent? Although I'd imagine it would take a lot of force to bend that area. Any info/help is appreciated!
?? im not near my car to look. Look at the threads for the bolt. Are they straight up and down? that should be the only thing that really matters. If any thing i would imagine it should be parallel to the floor the tire sits on

The bolt twists into the hub fine, but it is just at an angle (the whole hub is at an angle facing towards the front of the car). So the part of the spare that is towards the rear of the car is angled up. And the carpet doesn't lay flat in that area either because of this. I was hit from the rear on New Year's Day, but it seemed like a relatively soft hit, with only bumper damage. I wonder if that somehow caused this also?
