Question Sorry to intrude on the TL section, but...

I have been searching for a member that is using a 150 shot that apparently runs 12's. I was wondering if anyone knew where that thread was. I searched here and in the performace section of the boards.

I was simply looking for that particular thread just to see if the rumors were true. I have been running the 125 shot for years, and just bought the jets for the 150 shot. Just curious as to whether the engine lasted for this member. I'm aware the life of the engine will be determined as to what has been done to accommodate the amount of nitrous used. But again, just wanting to read the thread if the rumors were true. This was brought up in the CL section of the boards.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Havent gone to the tracks since I last went. My first experience ever at a drag strip resulted in a snapped axle, a stripped half shaft, and blown clutch. That was on my second run. My first run resulted in nothing but wheel hop through 1st and 2nd gear, so I gave up and just cruised down the track.

The initial reason for me building this car is actually for road racing at the tracks, not drag. But I do plan on making on more attempt at a drag strip just for bragging rights. Which is why I plan on using a 150 shot if I feel it's safe enough to do so. I just want to set the bar high before I rebuild this engine and never touch nitrous again.

Gonna rebuild the already rebuilt j35? must have some nice cash to play with. Why dont you pick up a S/C instead? Yeah it'll cost more, but its a lot safer than Nitrous any day, and you wont have to keep buying laughing gas

I've been talking to Austin, and his J35 supercharged auto is putting about 400 out at the crank, imagine the damage you'd do with a 6-speed Also going S/C you wouldnt have the danger of suddenly having an additional 100 or so horses under the wheels all at once, it'd be smooth and better for Auto-X'ing

Bleh, just noticed you already have Nitrous.

I still say go S/C and run a lower shot of nitrous, if you must have nitrous that is.

Hey, I see you live in Southlake, so do I. What area do you live in? I wonder if I've seen you around town. I tried to send you a PM but your inbox was full.

I live off of Carroll not too far from an elementary school. I left room for a pm, so shoot me one so we can exchange numbers. The car is currently at a shop getting the flares put on, so I can fit my work emotions on them. But you're more than welcomed to see it when I get it back.
