Even if he buys a warrenty from that race car family on TV and has to wait a month and his tranny goes out in 2 weeks he could sit on it for 2 weeks b4 calling the warrenty compasny back..
I work at a DLR and i would not buy a 3rd party warrenty cuz they will look for any reason not to pay BUT in this case it is worth a try!

 

Nothing to worry over. I'm not putting in a 6 Speed to race it. Its a 4 door, 3,000+ lb., FWD, luxury sedan that has a sporty personality. Not an NSX.

I'm well aware of how lucky I am to have a nice car as a first. That being said, I take full responsibility of how I treat it. I know if I don't take care of it, it can disappear just as fast as it came.

 

I talked to my step-dad about the swap... He ok'd it as far as us getting it done. He likes to do these type of things. He recommended getting a whole CLS6 and tearing out what we needed.

Mom's verdict is still out on what we will do. If we get the okay from her, we will be on the lookout for a totalled CLS6.

 

Out of curiousity last night, I looked for a few CLS6 transmissions. I found one in ( ) and it seems they have the whole car. I'm not entirely sure though... Even if we can't get the entire car, we're gonna put it together piece by piece... I found an 06 Accord transmission. I've been told they don't have a LSD.

Should I really try to get a CLS6/3GTL 6MT with LSD, or just go for an Accord transmission? How important is an LSD?
