Some of these sales guys are soooo ignorant...

While waiting in an Acura dealer show room today, looking at all the models when this sales guy started to chit chat. Told him that i already got a TL and it's too bad that the Canadian models don't get a DVD Navi system like the US one. Anyway, the guy had no clue what i was talking about, and when i explained that it's US option only and what it does, he said "oh, the one that you can carry out when u leave the car.." huh?? (Then he poses like he's carrying a shoulder bag... Also, i knew more about the TL features that he did not surprisingly.....

The service guy wasn't any better when he stated that "those people who do mods....what do they know?? Acura designed the car as best it can.....how can anyone else improve on it by changing or adding stuff...plus, it makes the car worth less at trade in..." I asked him if they sold Comptech products...."Isn't that a PC company?"

How do you sell stuff u know nothing about??

I just love these show rooms.....i bet you guys have your own experiences that u can share along with us....

Sam, which dealership did you go to? Richmond or Burrard? If Richmond, who was the salesman?

I think that salesman was helping my friend and I when my friend was looking for an EL. All I can remember, during the test drive, was the salesman saying, yes, no. He didn't seemed to care but now you think about it, maybe he didn't know anything about the car. Or he thought we were dressed like bums (shorts & T shirt) and didn't want to help us. However, once he found out I owned a TL, his attitude changed. Whatever! He never bought from them.

i am not suprised. when i bought my TL from Acura of Serramonte in the Bay Area, my salesperson knew absolutely nothing about the TL. Acura hires idiots working for them, no wonder the brand carries little prestige.

Sam, yeah the guy is a goof. What I don't get is why he is the top salesman? You would think that being a top salesman you would know your stuff. I don't have any problems with the service dept. though. My previous experiences have been satisfactory.
