Sorry to hear that, Justin! But yeah...this is probably one of the most common thefts with cars since it is the easiest! People replace the stem covers/caps...they get stolen again..it's just a viscious cycle. I bet most people here have had theirs stolen at least once, if not a lot more.

That sucks, but valve cap thefts happens all the time. That's the reason I just stick with the black rubber ones.

Most likely it was some kid who walked by, noticed the shiny caps, and decided to take them.

Sorry to hear that. I think we should be careful to automatically point to "kids" as the source of the problem. I know this is a bit offtopic, but at 20 yrs old I'm not that far from being a kid myself. I remember a bunch of times that I've had cops called on me or this or that just because people would assume that teenagers are always up to no good.

It was me bish!

That used to happen to my friend quite a bit so he decided to get a new set of caps and used some thread lock to keep them on. Whenever he needs to take them off he has to use a set of pliers and they come right off.

I used to steal them all the time for my bike. I went to my rim shop and bought a whole bunch of them.

I had mine stolen and don't even know when it happened. It was both on the passenger side, and since i'm NEVER over on that side, i don't know when it could've happened. I noticed it though, the one time i walked to that side to open up the door for my girlfriend (trying to be the gentlemen, lol), i noticed that something was wrong, looked down, and *GASP*. I just bought 6 new ones so i have them ready to put on incase i fight some missing again. It certainly sucks, but i guess this is what we have to deal with.

I'd rather them steal my valve caps than steal my headlights. Valve caps aren't even worth complaining about. If you can afford an Acura, you can afford valve caps.....(I Hope)

believe it, there are really stupid people in my area, they steal them at night in my driveway and being a smoker that smokes outside at night when I'm home I'll tell ya I don't know what I'd do if I caught someone messing with my ride

I got my old valves jacked too last summer. But since I got new Work rims this year with the Work valves, I am going to take them off. Taking a drive to pep boys to buy those fake chrome ones so if it gets stolen it won't matter much cause it is only like a few dollars.

BTW, sorry to hear about that.

You can't really help it especially if you have chrome caps. Even with regular black rubber caps, I've had them stolen, which seems kinda dumb.
