So I've been deciding on what kind of car to get these past mo or. I currently had a 2001 Acura TL with 112,xxx miles. Car runs great however some minor probs. I was in the market for an 07 TL. Dropped off a friend at the FOrd dealership tonight and saw a 2004 InfinitiFX35 with 33k miles on the lot. Decided to test drive it and fell in love with it. I got the car for 26,700 and they gave me 7k for the TL. I usually dont buy used cars but I loved this car and I cant afford to buy a new car right now and seeing how my TL was depreciating quickly I had to get rid of it. the orig owner paid 45K for the suv (left orig invoice in the car). I've loved this forum and had a great time. Thanks for everyone who helped me out on this forum. I'm going to miss my TL never really had any probs with it (except the tranny blowing) My dad still has his 01 TL so if I get the urge to drive an Acura I'll take his out.

 

Congrats on the purchase! Not a fan of the FX styling to be honest but that VQ exhaust note is just sweet. Enjoy the FX, only thing that matters is that you really like it.

 

7k for your TL that is redictulous. you should have gotten more if not you should have sold it private party.

 

Hope you enjoy it, even though its ugly IMO. Make sure you get that recall on the filler hose taken care of asap.

Aww yall hate the FX? I love that weird shape, wasnt a big fan of the small trunk/cargo but its ok! My Acura was in ok condition. Well 1 the heater doesnt work 2. tires completely bald 3. SRS airbag lights stayed on 4. Loud squeaking noise when the car was driving 5. Been over 4 accidents in it. 6. Rearview mirror stopped working 7. no trunk mat from previous trunk leak. And thats about it If i was to sell private party I'd probably only get 8 atmost. I'm happy with getting 7k for it. ssshh dont tell anyone about the heater not working. Its our lil secret

 

the airbag light was a recall. damn there were a few things wrong with it though
