Rattling

My car is rattling like a SOB. At first, I though it was my cd deck, but I checked and made sure it wasn't, but it might still be the CD Deck. I'm also having noises from my shift knob, cup holder, and somewhere on the front passenger seat. It's driving me nuts.

Has anyone had similar problems? I'd like to fix this if possible. I have a 96' 3.2 TL-P

You mean rattling not vibrating.
And yes there are many of us having the same problem even with the newer ones. 99-03.

The inside moon roof cover has a problem with the rattling. If you go to any dealer and tell them, they have a tape that is wrapped around the inside part of the cover and it prevents it from rubbing anything. Also the cup holder could be from inside your arm rest, make sure whatever is inside is secure. And the shift knob noise maybe from the coin tray/outlet cover. I had that problem but now that i have a radar detector and a little ball stuffed under the tray it no longer rattles. The springs on the trays aren't very tight so they move when you hit anything. Let me know if that helped. I had a few noises but I found them all and they were all taken care of, just takes a little time to listen for where exactly the rattle is coming from and sometimes it not always where you think. Keep us posted on the noise, maybe it may help us if we hear something in our TL's!
