Alot of miles on this girl...
I have 227,777 on my 2002 TL. My ex-husband bought this for me in 2009 with 159,200 on it. I got a rebuilt tranny last year and am getting the timing belt and tune up next week.
This is one of my favorite cars ever and I'm going to drive it for as long as she runs!

Three Wheelin'
I'm now at 223k miles. Original owner, original tranny, original shocks. Everything still works on the car, except for the driver's heated seat.
One issue I am noticing is that the HIDs are starting to change color. I'm guessing it means they are wearing out, which is not surprising after 12 years. I guess "lifetime of the car" only meant 10 years or so!
I keep this car as my DD. Since it gets mostly highway miles, and I generally drive it gently, the car is holding up well. When I had a nail removed at wheelworks, the guy was amazed how pristine the inside looks for a 12 year old car.

I have over 350,000 miles on my 99. Original transmission and engine. Never rebuilt. Good maintenance goes a long way. I'll snap a pic of my odometer when I get home later this week.

What advice would you give someone who wants to reach as many miles as you have? Do you drive your car "easy" or drive it like you stole it?

I take it fairly easy when I drive it. 80-85 is about as fast as I go. Cruise control is what gives me the best MPG. Keep up with the maintenance and use oem parts whenever possible. I didnt go OEM on my brake pads, rotors and my radiator. Pads and rotors im not worried. Radiator was an issue I had to take care of on a Sunday so Acura parts wasnt open that day and I needed a new one. Original radiator went at 289K. It didnt leak at all it just wasnt cooling efficiently. My friends laughed with the way I used to park even until now. I would come to a complete stop. Foot on brake I would go into neutral. Left foot steps on parking brake. Release right foot off brakes. Repeats steps until car doesnt roll. Place transmission into park. No stress on tranny. It only takes 2 extra seconds to do but you can't argue with the mileage I have.

i am at 184000 miles on my '99 - about to get the transmission rebuilt I think. It has been jerking around for a long time. I want to keep the car for a few more years at least so the transmission needs to stay together for the ride.
everything else works perfectly. I did have to replace the radiator and 1 of the fans recently but other than that all good.
I do all of the work myself (other than the upcoming transmission). change the oil with Mobil 1 synthetic and Mobil 1 filter every 7500 miles.
get 22 - 23 mpg with mixed driving w/o any issue

02 TLS with 170K. I bought the car in 04 with 75K and it had a replacement tranny at 100k.
Car gives decent mileage (17-18mpg) mostly city.
I am having some power steering issues now with it squeaking but other than that its been bulletproof since the tranny replacement.
