So CA Type S non Nav. prices
Hello Guys...
Alright my time to decide on a car is coming up. Within two weeks I'm going to decide on my car. I was wondering if anyone of you could help me out with some references for price. I'm intending to either go see John H. at Costa Mesa...or someone in Tustin. What I'm concerned about is what are you local guys paying for Type S without Navigation...please help me out. Thank you in advance.

What's in a price?
It all depends on how hungry the dealers are.
I've been looking for a DEP TL-S with navi at last month's prices (~$30,7xx) when they were having less than expected demand. Now however, due to "short" supply, none of the local (and not so local) So Cal dealers wanted to revisit that level again. They wanted $31,4xx to do it today.
Based on remarks by dealers and by looking thru their online inventory, most of them were looking to move TL-S w/o navi, however.
What's the "book" say is a reasonable profit? 2-4% over invoice (before destination and extras). Some dealers will move for less, more for more.
If you hit the right dealer, you can also get the right price. I bought my 01 TL (albeit on March 15 with the 02 TL-S coming out the same day!) for less than 1% over invoice (hard to get closer than that as I don't know the exact dealer cost of the wheel locks and splash guards - 0.96% if locks and guards are $120).
Today, I used priceline.com and got a dealer that's a couple hours away to do my next car at 0.90% over invoice. BUT, I have to wait for it to be factory ordered (see sig).
Good luck.
P.S. Be advised that information works both ways. I'm sure there are a number of dealers reading these messages.

Suggest you check out the car in the daylight and get a due bill if needed.
Good luck.
