Snapped Half Shaft

On Saturday I was driving slowly and heard a sound like something fell off my car or I ran over something metal. I looked back over the road I had passed and saw nothing. I pull over to the side of the road to park for a minute so I could give my wife her keys, then put it in reverse and SNAP!!!!! I get out and see my Cusco bar at a 45 degree angle and the drivers side CV joint half shaft is now 2 quarter shafts. I got it fixed and alignment was still good, no other damage so I'm lucky, but my Cusco bar wasn't so fortunate. The bracket on the drivers side literally ripped off from the frame. It is toast. The bar and passenger side bracket seemed to be in good shape still surprisingly. I contacted Heeltoe and he said no can do on parts for the cusco bars, gotta buy the whole kit, which is cheap anyways, but I believe they are on serious back order. Anyways I think I may try that new Ultra Racing 4 point brace instead. I emailed Heeltoe to get a little more info. Does anyone have that on their car? If so, how do you like it. I can feel the difference without the Cusco, not huge, but I can feel it.

Also would snapping the half shaft when parked like that cause premature wear on any of the motor mounts? Mainly the front and rear would be my concerns.

did you break a cv or the shaft itself?

the cusco bars come from japan,,little chance gettting just a part for one

go with the 4 point as long as replacing anyway

its like, which seatbelts would you prefer,,2 point or 5 point

the 2 point cusco helps some as you can tell, and adding the extra directional stabilty.. I can see it being a nice improvement
