slow start up

slow start up
I don't know if it is just in my mind, but it seems that it is taking longer to start up the car. It takes like 2 seconds. It may not sound like that long, but my brother's camaro always starts right up. I guess it's just the sound of the engine cranking up for two seconds that makes it a concern. Could it be my intake? Should I get the dealer to check it out? I only have 12,000 miles. Thank.

Re: slow start up
I have a CAI and mine starts RIGHT up....
except in the morning when it's below 30 degrees, then it takes 4 or 5 times, Acura can't look at it or fix until it's that cold again though.

There's been some talk about this problem in the past; it seems to be a characteristic of our cars.
Some hints that may (or may not) help: Don't touch the accelerator during startup, and don't rev the engine up just before you shut it down.
