Sloped driveways suck when you have Comptech Springs(pic)
Well I did it again! This time I think it looks bad. I was backing out of my uncle's driveway and I did it slowly w/5 people in the car, but then I heard a scrape and this is was happened! Do you think it's worth repainting the whole bumper fot this??

But my answer involves 2 questions.
1. How bad its bothering you???(which knowing Benny is alot!!!)
2. Whens the next time you are going to be pulling straight out of a sharply steeped driveway with 5 people in your car?? If its going to happen again, then why bother.
Odd part is I pulled into one of the steepest driveways I ever have in my car with the drop and bodykit. The botttom of the kit did get a little scraped, but in an area you never see unless you are under the car, since its urethane it just flexed a little and scratched up the underside.
Maybe you should just buy the lip and cover it up???

But seriously, that sux! I have the comptechs, and have yet to scrape yet, (knocking on wood), and I have had to go up a few steep driveways. But I also avoid the really bad ones.....for th very reason you just showed.

Well, I was backing out of a driveway I wasn't used to. This really sucks! I got an estimate for $350 to repaint it becuz of the deep gashes. I want to just buy the bodykit lip (cuz i'm broke now) but I think it will look weird. If I get the lip, i'm scared it will get messed up again. I don't know what to do now. I was saving up for comptech sways and now I havta fix this becuz it's killing me to look at it.

Hey carfreak, I know a guy in LI that might be able to repaint it for you. He is very meticulous. I may not trust him 100% with mechanical work, but definitely with minor body work. Let me know if you want me to call him and get a ruff estimate for you!

IMO, it's not worth getting a new bumper or getting it repainted. Just buy the lip to cover it up. I also had a bad experience too. I also had 5 people in my car when I attempted to get out of a driveway. I have a 3" drop with my Apexi Coilovers. Needless to say my front lip was scraped. I am just waiting til the spring to buy a new front lip. Since winter is coming, it won't bother me as much as if it was summer.
Advice for you and me, never get out of a driveway with more than 1 other passenger (0 passenger would be even better).:p
Good luck and let us know what you decide to do.

You can do what a friend of mine did in high school. After he sideswiped the wall of a bridge (he was drunk, which explains his following actions too) in his new Camaro, he went behind a grocery store after it was closed, smashed into the dumpster a few times and then ran the car head on into the brick wall of the back of the grocery store. Leaving it there, his plan was to go home and report the car stolen and have insurance pay for a new one. But nobody bought his story, so daddy just bought him a new one.

hahha......yah, I learned a huge lesson! I just placed an order for my paint code in a spray can at www.towerpaint.com and I'm going to fix it for now and then in the spring I will get a bodykit and the front lip will cover it.

for the same price as a re painted bumper you can get the lip from tim and add the rest later. It will look cool, like a touring car. But then again, if you are gonna come out of a driveway again with that many people and dont know how to drive up a drive way with a lowered car, then get yourself some touch up paint. I would have pulled out and made them all get in after.

Sup Benny! How come I don't see you in school anymore? I saw you the first week but not again. IMHO, I do not think it is worth repainting it. You said that you wanted to get the body kit next spring right? If its going to cover it, leave it for now. Save your money for sways. Just touch it up a little. If you need help, let me know. We should get together at school sometime. I want to see your drop again. I was thinking about getting springs too but it all depends on how low it will get..

Man... this would just haunt me till i got it fixed..I think you best bet is getting a bodykit. It will make the car look much better, and it will cover up your lousy driving skills.

Can you really see that standing up? I mean you know its there, but for those that don't?
My wife did the same thing. I wasn't to upset as the body kit was already on the way, and covers it all. Anyhow, we only noticed when we washed it, and you cant see under the fog standing up? maybe its worse on silver than ABP?
