Slight thunk when accelerating
When going slowly, and I press down on the gas, I get a small thunk from the driver's side front of my car. The same sound also is evident if I let my foot off the gas (at slow speeds).
It doesn't rattle over bumps or anything like that, just a little thunk when switching from speeding-up to slowing-down (and visa versa). It almost seems like it could be a bushing, tie rod end, or even a bolt on the strut tower.
I know the obvious answer is to take it to the dealer, but has anyone else experienced this? If so, what was the cause?

I brought it to the dealer today. It turns out there were some slightly loose bolt(s) on my tranny.
The tech also noted that many times people get their tires rotated - and then notice a clunk - and come to find out that the lug nuts needed to be re-torqued because the wheel is slipping. It's certainly something to check if you get this kind of sound.
