Slid into a curb

Slid into a curb

So I slid into a curb a few months ago . I just got new tires and took the car in for an alignment yesterday. The alignment couldn’t be done because of some bent parts. They told me its $1200 (parts and labor) to change the knuckle, lower control arm, and wheel bearing for the front passengers side (driver side was fine). I might also need struts but they wouldn't know until they took it apart. The only problem is that their diagnosis was based on the alignment specs from the computer. There wasn't a visual inspection. This is a reputable shop but I’m not convinced I need all that. I changed the tires at my buddy's shop and nothing looked bent except the lower radius arm looked off compared to the drivers side. I know that it’s difficult to diagnose with out looking at the car and I'm no expert so that's why I'm here. Any suggestions/recommendations. For me it’s to much money to spend without visual proof that the parts are bent.
This is a 99tl
Thanks

You might want to get a second opinionn since that was a hard damage. The frame could be the problem too.

happened to me. i though it was the lower control arm...wrong...and btw you can't compare driver's side to pass side. the knuckle had to get replaced but i was smart and had it all repaired under insurance becasue some doushebag hit my front bumper/fender/light.../and bent my front knuckle.

the lower control arm is beefy so i wouln't be surprised if you do need the knucle. there's no harm in getting a second opinion.

That was quick. I just got back from lunch and already 3 responses. Looks like I have to get a second opinion.

Thanks

Do I really have a brain tumor?- that certainly would explain a lot of things!
