Hi,
i have a light gray/silver TL with spoiler and WW body kit. I've never seen a TL with silver tints but i know that black tints (20-35%) look fine. What do you think?

 

I would go for black tinting...

If you have a Silver TL, both metallic and black tints look nice in my opinion.

 

My friend had a silver CL with silver tints - Disgusting - Can never go wrong with black.

 

Go with black. Timeless classic. It will look great on any colors.

The silver tint is played out way too much.

 

I've got 2003 SSM with 37% metallic tint ... looks good. I have pics in my gallery ... is it still down?

i have the semi metallic tint for less heat, since my car is black.

No. My cousin has the champagne color, too. Not a TL, but an Accord. Same color, though. Black tint will look good on that color. In fact, black tint looks good on ANY color.

Uh, no. Don't tint the front windshield. That's just begging for cops to pull you over. Not to mention it'll be hard to see at night. That's a safety hazard, in my book. .02

 

get silver ... 37% ... just enough of a reflection and looks clean. also wont fade and turn purple.

I have the front windshield tinted 50% never been pulled over and its not hard to see out of.

 

A friend of mine has 20% all around and 50% on the windshield. I'm afraid to ride in his car at night, especially because he doesn't have bright lights like we do.

heh guess its 1000 to 2 for silver tints, yet i still have my doubts.
If i was to put black tints, what % should i go on my chanpagne.
Or if i went silver, which should i go with? the pp35?

 

What color is your interior, etxxz? If it's Ebony, go with 35% all around. That will be dark enough. If it's Taupe, then see if you can find a shop that has 30% or somewhere around there.

 

15% for the sides and back and 50% for the front windshield

Alright check this out, i finally put the tints today, i didnt go black...i didnt go silver either..... hehe...
i went with somthing called the pp20....its meduim silver during the day, changes black at nights, its perfect for my problem...

imo silver mat tints only look good on white or silver caars other wise go with dark tints.

heh i already put the tints last friday...i put pp20 (read my previous post)...but i have to wait untill friday to post the pics because my TL is in the shop...someone rear-ended me monday...minor hit, but its a dent nevertheless...

20% is a good area

 

Yup im getting the classic black metallic from LA Tint, I think its called the "Ultimate" and comes with a lifetime guarantee to not fade or turn purple. Costs about $250 but I had it on my TL-S and I was very happy with it 35% all around but this time im going with 20 all around

 

I was trying to show mine w/ 5% but I couldnt get it to work

 

5% ilegall were im at hehe... i put those pp20...they neither black nor silver... i will post pics friday morning when i get my car back... (my baby got rearended by FL oldlady)
