does anyone know how to get these signs to go off..its a triangle with ! and vsa and also abs sign is on

those are called Warning lights!!

if you live anywhere in the usa except California, proceed to a parts store and ask for a free code reading
report back here with the codes they give you
from there we can pinpoint the actual problem

How is the car running?
current miles?
recent work on the car?

 

Umm, those are codes that might be indicative of problems. If you just want to reset them, you can pull the backup clock fuse from the passenger side fusebox.

Unless you live in Cali, you should go to autozone and get your codes read.

With those two warning lights on, it means that, currently, both the VSA and traction control systems are not functioning.

 

autozone doesnt read your codes in Cali?

 

It's some law that stores can't read codes in Cali. You can buy an OBDII reader though, so maybe someone he knows has one.

 

the warning lights can mean 100s of things-
it does not mean those particular systems are shut off..its a warning to get your attention = proceed for diagnosis
parts stores will happily ck them for free.

In Ca. its part of the smog laws- so repair stations can make big money on smog diagnosis,,but it took away the general publics abilty to get standard problems figured out
*unless you buy a scanner,,, at those same parts stores! go figure!!

the red SRS air bag light On means that system is turned off= problem
Yellow Side airbag On means passenger SIDE airbag Off at that moment
those are what they say, but vsa/cel can mean many things

 

NEVER reset the ck lights without code reading and underhood look over
erasing them wipes away valuable information!

after you fix something- sure, clear the ecu and all codes- drive it and see if better

 

no they dont read out codes because the "smog law"
