Question Is this sign of trans problems?

I have a 99 Acura TL with 47k miles on it and no probelms to date. Two days ago I notice that when I had my car in reverse, the car would not move unless I put lots of pressure on the gas. Usually when I put the car in reverse.....the car moves back slightly on its own. Mind you that I was not on any degree of inclines.....just flat ground. Could this be the start of a trans problem? After reading all the trans problems on 99 TL I'm a bit paranoid too.

You might want to get it looked at if you're still in the 4/50 warranty window. At least it'll be documented for future reference.

Yeah I already made the appointment for tomorrow. This just shakes my believe in Honda after reading about these transmission problems. Everyone in my family owns an acura/honda. If this is a transmission problem.....I think I'll be the first to switch to toyota.

not sure if thats the "regular" tranny failure, but its a problem just the same. Sounds like there isnt enough pressure to get the torque converter going. BTW, when my tranny failed, it also wouldnt go into reverse, but in addition my car was shifting real hard between all the forward shift points.
