Hey guys, i need to replace the imfamous side pillars since they are fading and i'm out of the factory warrenty so they won't replace them for free. I've already had all the tap taken off and just painted over and i want to complete the new smooth look by replacing the pillars.

I'm trying to decifer the Diagram here and can't figure out which part is the one i need. From what i think it is parts 11 and 16.

Are you talking about the outside pillars that are originally glossy but is fading? If so, I think you want to look in the "Molding" section. I believe it's part #4 & 8 for the front pillars, and 11 & 14 for the rear pillars.

hello, you are saying they actully change it if it under warranty. is that warranty to 50k or less i have a 03 tl with 42k mine are fading too. Let me know thanks

 

From what I heard, no they dont change it at all.

 

They changed all 4 of mine under warranty.

 

When i brought mine in, they said they would have covered replacing the tape on all four doors and all four pillars if it was still under the 4/50k warrenty. But i was over the years
