Side mirror mod question.

Can some led's be mounted behind the mirror to give off a glow, just like the undercarriage of a car? If it could be done would it look good? would it look cheap?
Heres a ps:

It doesn't seem very safe, to me- with undercarriage lights they're not in the view of the driver, but a side mirror is right there... I don't think I'd do it for that reason.

My recommendation would be to not do it, but to each his own.
