Nah, I wouldn't do it. I tried to find ones that would be perfectly flush and the only ones like that are a nasty oval shape.

the topic had been discussed...and I finally gave up on it...cuz to have a functioning one, we'll need to drill holes on the sides... and the wirings... for a fake one...it looks too fake...they're big and ugly..
I know someone did it on their car in the forum...and they're nice too...but just too much hassle...

Side markers would be a hassle, but if they made sideviews with blinkers for a 2002 tls I gettem in a second. Just replace the original sideview with the blinker ones. No drilling.

It does look ok on the inspire, but it'd be a hassle to do rig it on a tl. I don't understand why we don't have them & the inspire does. Its ok, id rather have the sideview blinkers anyway.
Now if only someone would make them.

Yeah but I believe they are recessed into the body panel. That would look nice. Maybe somebody could import the from quarter panels from Japan. DO i hear groupbuy?

I got side markers and they arent oval. They look nice. They are almost identical to the bmw sidemarkers. Oh and the car looks alot better. They Look just like Blackshadows sidemarkers

I agree that it makes the car look much better! I have the clear sidemarkers that are perfectly flushed into the body panel. They are rectangular in shape and not oval shape, just like the BMW too.

I'm just concerned about anyone drilling into the metal. I think i'd bring it in to a bodyshop for the install. I've seen some crappy aftermarket install on the TL that looks like they used too much force to drill into the body, and where the side marker is, the metal is actually indented around the hole where u have the side marker. I'd hate to remove that marker and see how they left that metal, probably all jagged and raw.

Damn, let's find some replacement sideview with blinkers instead.

It looks even better on a black TL with blue corners and bluish highbeams with blue neons.

Ive been thinking of putting on sidemarkers too. The only ones i would put are the ones that are on the Audi S4. I park next to one at work and they really look good. Im gonna have to call an Audi parts dept and find out the cost on them.

can you post it when you find out? i'm too lazy to call hehe
i had a friend who bought benz M series side markers from MB for only $5 for a pair.. he put it on his altima.. they're both pretty big.. that'd be too big for us, but the S4's side markers would be GREAT

Thanks!!!!
I bought them off ebay for 20 bucks. I installed them myself and there was drilling involved. I believe its worth it because it gives off a different look

great responses

hey guys, thanks for all the great responses. I have a black 99 TL and I think it really looks good in the picture. Also another project that I had in mind was installing the Navigation system into my non nav TL. How much do you think this will cost. I was thinking that there might be some in the junk yards, I also saw one on ebay a couple weeks ago going for 500. I just hope that the Non-Nav TL has the right places for the brackets behind the dash...what do you guys think. thanks, Jason

No~~~ There was post about putting NAV into non-NAV TL. I think it turns out no way~~~. It's just better to buy aftermarket NAV, like Kenwood, Alpine, Pioneer, or something. Do a search on that post.
