side marker lights

side marker lights

i wanna put side marker lights on my car. is there a way when i turn on my lights they turn on and than when i use my turning signals they blink to

their is a way. tap into the turn signal wires for the bulbs

If you find the thread for the BMW 745 sidemarker install.. I seem to remember them talking about how to wire it up that way.. I think it was like on page 2 or 3.

there's a diy, but i'm not sure it does what you're looking for. i would start in the sticky first if you haven't already. search for side marker install for the thread.

Wire the positive wire from the parking light and the positive wire from the turn signal, and wire those to the sidemarker. Note that this does not work with LEDs in the sidemarkers since LEDs have a polarity.

What happens is:

Parking lights on only --> sidemarker lights up (turn signal wire acts as ground)
Turn signals flashes on only --> sidemarker flashes (parking light wire acts as ground)

Parking lights + turn signals flashes --> sidemarker flashes (both wires have +12V so there's no voltage going through and the sidemarker turns off)

but if i wire my parking lights with the turning signal wouldnt that make my turning signals on too?
