My side airbag light comes on and off and then starts flashing, then stops until the next day. Any thoughts???

are you leaning on the door.....or maybe the passenger side?? might activate it to go off.....but for it to keep flashing.... could be a short

 

Improperly seated passengers or items placed on the passenger seat can cause this, as the light warns you that something may be in the projected deployment path of the airbag and it is temporarily disabled. Check your owner's manual--it has a thorough explanation of it.

I've never seen it flash, so that's probably a short like ABLUETYPES78 said or it's a malfunction of the air bag... I'd get that checked asap...

 

Mine came on when my 60 pound grandson was moving around in the passenger seat. The manual says it will come on if your passenger is too small to be up there with you.
