Should I get the Bodykit????

I cant make up my mind if i want it or not... Who here thinks it looks good and who here thinks it looks cheap?? Also... if I did install the body kit, and i didnt like it after a couple of years, then would i be able to take it off with no problems? Only real reason why i dont know if i will like it, is cuz i havent seen a black TL-S with comptech springs with bodykit in person. So i dont know if i would like it. So anywho, this is what i would do, the bodykit with the WW lip spoiler!! Just like MR Hyde's car!! Im such a copy-cat i know! Oh and those who say you like it or not, state your age, i just wanna see who thinks what.

I say get the body kit and the spoiler. The car will look much better. I don't think it will be a problem taking it off. Look at the body it on my car, it just seems like the bolts are in the wheel well and under the car.

I saw oblio's car at the MA meet and it looks great. It is black with body kit and comptech springs. I know if you e-mail him he will have pictures for you.

Get it! I love the kit, but my wife said no...too bad that the TL is her everyday car and I'm stuck with the "nice" minivan.

Even though my TL is a 99, it has 02 tails so it looks like a TL-S from behind. I have the Apexi Coilovers with a 3" drop with OEM bodykit.
BTW, definitely get the bodykit. Check out my sig below...

Will the car look good with just the body kit?

I don't really like spoilers, unless it's the decklid kind like the ones on the M5 and M3..................

Adding the kit and the spoiler take the car out of "stealth" mode, and make it get the "oohs" and "nice car" comments from strangers, and kids in the drive-thru windows!

Get the KIT it makes the car look so good. Make sure you get the spoiler too. I had the kit and spoiler since I bought the car in 99'. I was the only one on the street with such car, everyone ask me what is that? an acura? Everyone loves it.

No offence but I don't like the body kit. I think Acura did a poor job because it definately looks like an add on.

If you want to see what I mean look at, say, a BMW where you may ask "but where's the front spoiler's?" because it looks like part of the car.

It's all a matter of personal preference though. I generally don't like the 'poser boy' look on cars.

I don't like the body kits. They look like add-ons, and I just rarely like anything that looks like an add-on. You wanted opinions, so I'm giving mine. I hope nobody takes offense...we all like different things....

In addition, my opinion about rear spoilers (in case you want to know) is they are a total waste of money. They do nothing to enhance performance and they detract from the lines of the car. Furthermore, when you put on a spoiler, you are left with an inoperative 3rd brake light which I think is redundant and looks ridiculous.

Just my opinion. Hope it helps.

If you dont mind spending the money, get the kit. Im really happy with mine.. partly in fact because there are soo many TL/TLSs around my part of town that dont have the kits. I think that the OEM kits are a bit expensive, especially from the dealer, so Id recomend checking out the prices here at acura-tl.

Kit

The kit runs for under $900.00 bucks from this site and already comes painted....

BTW-Many members have put on the kit themself, do a search for detailed instructions....

Question

Is there just one body kit for the 2002 Type S . What about the WW kit ? Any plans that anyone knows about to make this for the '01 or '02 models ? Thanks for the help .

$900 or so at dealer, you might find them cheaper on the net!
