is there a big difference between short ram cai and a stock intake?

 

you are gonna pick up a few ponies and its gonna sound alot meaner... especially when vtec kicks in

 

how much better is a full cai compaired to a short ram??

 

not much...I mean unless you have other mods..headers, pullies, exhaust, the difference isnt much ( a few HP) But, if you have all those I would get a real CAI to get the most benefit from all mods

 

just wondering because I have no mods yet but, do you lose low-end torque with a CAI on the TLs like how a lot of other cars do? My integra lost low end but gained high end. I don't want to only gain in the high end, 'na mean?

 

the only mod I'm aware of that gains low end is the UR crank pulley. Most mods do give high end power. As for intakes, I never saw a point for short ram, it sounds louder but it draws in all the hot air your engine produces, the CAI at least pulls cooler air from under the car. Either one doesn't produce much HP or torque, but it makes VTEC sound so much nicer!
