shave trunk

i was wondering if there is a way to take off the " A C U R A" lettering off the trunk... im planning on only leaving the acura symbol and the "3.2tl type s"

yea i did all u need is dental floss, goo gone, a rag, and some compound and wax to clean it up.. thats all i used..

thats the method- use a heat gun, hair dryer or park the tail into the sun a few hours and they come right off
Its just double sided foam tape holding them on

it's really simple is you realize how they are placed on...glue! hot water and residue remover is all you need

Keep in mind that after taking the letters off and cleaning off the glue residue, you still might be able to see where the letters were. I could on my dark green pearl. No amount of polishing would get rid of the ghost image so I ended up putting the letter back on. I was glad I only removed the first 'A'. I did not have this problem where the 3.2 TL letters were.

^to add to that. If you have a buffer then you will be able to get rid of the image. I also read on here that if you take a terry cloth, some rubbing alcohol, and some elbow grease it will go away.

just watch your fingernails, dont wanna be scratching into that clear coat. otherwise it's fairly straightforward

i did dis yesterday i used a cd to scrape the goop off... i also painted my acura symbol gloss black

I tried everything after I took the 'A' off. Nothing got rid of the ghost. I eventually rubbed through the clear coat. Fortunately, it was under the 'A' so when I put it back on, it was hidden.
