ooh ok nevermind , maan, the shaking is more and more evident it looks like replacing the front one did not help that much. I am gonna take it to dealership next week and have the side one replaced. I should have just taken it to dealership and have it replaced. I wonder how good of a job the other shop did, they had a pretty good rating so I thought it might be ok. How much is the possibility that the rear mount is shot? i will have you posted of the result once the side one is replaced. man, i hope it aint gonne be a dragging issue.

a shop should be able to test the mounts visually for oil leakage from the `special ones`, and mechanical leverage (prybar) test for integrity of rubber component on all the mounts

Front mount is front of car--left side of engine,,fluid filled ~$120-150 retail

Passenger SIDE mount- actual front of engine is regular type solid rubber mount $50

ck our vendor list and try those dealers,we have a few new ones join recently
all are giving extra discount to ziners so make sure they know where you came from
they accept PHONE calls to be sure you get the right items

well I alrready found one at https://www.acurapartssource.com/acura-tl-parts.html and that is the only site where I was able to find side mount. Other ones does not have it. Their web site says they sell acura TL OEM parts.

hmmm interesting.... something to look into for my car that creates left and right vibrations when i accellerate.

both axles were changed, engine mounts checked, but still vibrating upon throttle.

well acurapartssource.com is where I was able to find the part, but I have no idea of their reputation. If I call them, they will sure will say their product is of good quality, who will say we sell crap. I wanna hear from other ppl who bought from 'em. If they sell a quality product and I am convinced about it, I am ready to buy one from them anytime.

their ad says they buy direct - so its the acura/honda part
call and ask if they have the part IN STOCK?

have you tried any of our dealer supporters in the Vendor Directory- next to the sign out box- cant miss it

everyone can get discounts from dealer, levels depend on amount you buy from them, and what you brought for ~Goodwill Goodies~

if you are a wholesale buyer, there are several price levels depending on how much you buy,,so you could open a parts biz with several car makers supplying you on order and drop ship items from their own warehouse...all internet biz

these are not difficult to do
did they charge diagnosis fee now,, or it that an hour on each part to diagnose Plus regular labor to replace--what a ripoff
side mount is 50 bucks and 1 hour max labor--should be 30 minutes
rear I dont know--if engine rear, part 120-150 retail

trans rear?? experts on this please step up

a trans shop has the experience to do the work
or any small private owner local import/honda repair shop- look in phone book for smaller ads

yeah, i thought exactly the same way you do and i found the discussion thread about local gatherings but that does not seem to be frequented very often. but i am keeping an eye on it. i dont know if you mean the same thing by region link.

Hey man, you posted this thread for a reason. Motor mounts came up & discussion was headed into the realm of you purchasing the mounts. Then you go to the dealership so they could tell you something you kind of already knew. I also wonder if you mentioned mounts to them before they came up with their diagnosis?

Stop wasting time, seriously. Buy the damn parts, get the tools necessary, set aside a weekend to install, and get to it! You claim you've done a lot of work before in the past to your other cars, so I don't see what the hesitation is. You don't need space to do mounts. I live in an apt too, park on the street.

The side mount can be done in less than half an hour with the use of just a ratchet & socket/extension. At least just knock that one out.

okay guys thanks first of all, i took it to dealerships to diagnose the problem not to have it fixed. that is because after having the front one replaced, i still see the symptoms that is why to pinpoint the problem. Now they found it out for me, I can find other cheaper ways to fix it.
here is my plan: i should be able to do the side mount by myself, brake shims replacement (posted on different thread ) by dealer and need to find someone who can do the rearbrakes since that is the most expensive ones.
