Services

My car has a 6 yr extended warranty. Is it true that u have to start paying the services after 2 services. In addition, if u want to replace the wiper blades, u are charged for it? If that is so, what EXCATLY does the warranty cover? Just the tranny replacement?

Your 03 is covered by the 4yr/50K warranty - and if you bought the car used from a dealer, then there's a chance it's certified too. If you're still under 50K, then all warranty work is free so long as it's done at a dealer and the part that fails is not do to a mod. The warranty covers everything that is not considered "expendable". Wiper blades, according to my dealer, are considered "expendable", and are not covered. Other expendables are things like the battery, fluids, tires, and in some cases brake pads (it depends on whether they wear due to the rotor issue or not). If you call Acura's main number, you can request a booklet that will have all the warranty details – that should cover all the particulars.

I would question this - I notice (a lot) that when I bring my car in, they round the mileage to the nearest thousand rather than write it totally out. The only sure way of telling how far your car has gone during the service appointments is to check it right before you drop it off, and again when you get it back. I just stick the mileage into my cell phone and save it as a phone number - that way it's easy to enter and get at later.
