I found the problem on my acura 1999 TL,

Recap: the alarm would not arm because it was as if a door was opened but the doors still locked but horn did not chirp.

I took it to acura, and they said my alarm needs to be reprogrammed. Anyone know what this means? And how to do it? Yes i am trying to avoid the 42 dollar charge for acura to reprogram my alarm, they like to milk money from us acura drivers! but anyway can someone really help me!?
