Security Code

I am selling my head unit of my 2002 TL Type S on ebay and everyone is askin me for the security code. I can not find it on the glove compartment or in the manual. I heard its a 8 digit code. Does anyone have any idea how it look like or where I can find it other than calling the dealership.

I have a pic of my auction with the back of the radio. Is any of that information the code?

Mod edit: no ebay links

check all around the unit. the person i got mine off wrote it in pencil lightly around the unit.

and it is a 5 digit code. weird thing is my dads accord was 62323 and my tl is 52323

maybe try something like that

but the dealer will know once they get the VIN of your car. go to the dealer and check immediately or pull out the auction, then repost.

Take your registration and your head unit to an acura dealer ship. They will hook it up to their machine for free and give you the code. You just have to have your registration to prove that is your head unit. And since that is an 02 head unit I will take it off your hands with the security code of course lol.

Well I called them and its easy. All I gave them was my serial # off the unit. You want to take it off my hands? Are you interest? Go ahead and look at my auction. Thanks for all your replies guys!

I need the number to that acura dealership.. I was putting my stock radio in and they told me if it was installed that they would charge me 80 bucks to take it out and hook it up to get the code. So i took it out myself and they got it for free. So yea you have the 6 disc changer right.. they deleted your ebay link.. pm the link

thats kinda depressing that you can get the code over the phone with just a serial number from the back of the radio. doesnt that defeat the point of the code
