Secret Navigation Screen...

Does anyone here know much about this screen? I am speaking of the one where you press the Menu Button, hold it. Then, press the Map screen and hold it as well. Lastly, press and hold the cancel button in addition to the other two and then the system would pop up with a green screen that has quite a few options. I'm not familiar with this screen and I was told that I could mess up my system pretty bad if I didn't know what Iw as doing; thus, I didn't really play around with it

However, when I took my car to the dealership today and spoke with one of their mechanics, I was told that I can mess around with it and it would not effect my system at all. My questions to people who played around with this screen before are:

1. Is it safe to try out some of the options this screen has?

2. What is this screen exactly?

3. What can I do in this screen? Any methods of tweaking the navi. system?

Dont play with that!! Some of those menus can kill your system. Its for people like me to use when your system IS screwed up lol. Its all self tests and history logs. There is nothing you can use in there.

I think the mechanic that told you that was just trying to be a spiteful *****! He was probably like let me tell this guy he can play with that so he can really mess up his Navi and he will have to bring it right back here. Some people are just *******s! :o

actually one cool thing you can do is see how many satellites the car is using by going into the gps button. it's neat. you can also see real-time figures for yaw rate and such

As far as what I know......I am not definately going to mess up with that screen. But I've seen some members changed the map color though.

If you mess it up, theres an option to reset the whole system, so its ok to mes with it. just use your common sense.
It is cool to see some of the votage readouts. now all i have to do is quantify the voltages of the yaw sensors, wtf, 2.14 volts means nothing to me!

I used to live in PA. The only place in Jersey I've been to was Atlantic City. It's good knowing that there is a mechanic on our forum. I'll be looking for ya if I ever need any tech help :P j/k
