Seafoam problem...

Is it normal for the orange engine light to come on after seafoaming??
If so, how long is it gonna stay on?

I don't think so. I've seafoamed two of my brother's TLs and my CL and that has never happened.

Yes it can happen. Just disconnect your battery for 10 mins and reconnect, it should go away. But make sure you have your radio and/or navi unlock codes!

just pull out the #13 fuse on the passenger side panel. It's the ECU and Clock fuse. Resets the ECU without disconnecting your radio so you don't have to go through the hassle of the radio code.

DONT reset the ecu for this one- no need to make the computer relearn everything

Most of the time its failure to get the engine and cat hot enough on the blow out drive.
4000 rpm in 2nd gear for 10 minutes will take care of the problem
What happens is loosened goo gets stuck on the O2 sensor- it burns off with a days driving.
Those who follow the DIY with precision have no problems- but its a minor thing for the CEL, and does indicate the need for retreatment in a month or 2.
Use Deep Creep seafoam in spray can to do vac port- beats the hose and can method big time

What is the drawback to having computer relearn? I've had battery disconnected a couple of times (for other reasons) & no issues resulted- thanks.

Its fine to reset the ECU when the car has had major mods to it, or the battery was off for some reason

When you have a problem like this - with crud temporarily blocking the O2 after seafoam - if you reset the ecu now- BEFORE fixing the problem, it is learning while the problem is still self correcting
Thats giving bad info to the computer

Fix the problem first- then reset the system- thats what I meant
