Scuff Marks on interior

I have searched the forum and have found no related entries. So, I am posting a new question. I have WDP with the parchment interior. Does anyone know what is good for scuff marks on the interior plastic. I wear black shoes and the scuff marks and getting everywhere. Thanks for any info.

same here

I also have the same problem... I realize that it is soooo easy to leave scratch marks everywhere in the interior.. even my nails (and I have short nails!) would scratch the rubber around the door handle, etc.. any advice how to get it off???

The plastic material used on the lower interior of the B-pillars, glovebox and lower dashboard, and door sills seems to be made of a ridiculously soft plastic that shows *ALL* scratches and scuffs. I scratched my B-pillar the second day I had my car. Unfortunately I don't think there is much you can do. From other threads I've read, some people have successfully got certain dealers to replace the pieces under warranty, but I don't think that's an easy trick.

i'd use water and a soft.. and i mean SOFT cloth to just rub it.. cuz i tried to use like a terry cloth or whatever it was (i dont remember exactly), it scratches it too... i think the best thing to use is an old cotton t-shirt.

I've got the ebony interior and I think it scuffs worse than the parchment. Gotta be real careful what I rub on the inside of the car....

I have an ebony interior. For shoe scuffs, dust and fingerprints, use the Swiffer cloth (that's right, that dust pick-up cloth from your supermarket). It takes it right out. Buff lightly.

For deeper scratches, there's not much you can do. With deep gouges, you can flatten out the frizzy edges with a very fine sandpaper, but there's nothing you can do to fill the depression.

As a poster has said, do not rub the plastic surfaces vigorously. It will scratch the surface even worse than before.

Get some microfiber towels for cleaning the interior. You can soak it in a water bucket, then ring it out. Then wipe and wipe. If works without scratching or leaving lint and will do the entire interior (glass, panels, vinyl, dash, windows, etc).

If you really run into some nasty stuff -- try Griot's -- they have some "interior cleaner" that works on carpet, vinyl, etc. It is not a shin-em-up product -- it is a cleaning product.

Check it out!!!

Yep, I use the microfiber towels. They seem to work pretty good. I have a good set (Miracle towel, Glass towel, etc) but for cleaning I picked up a set at COSTCO, got quite a few (9+) for under $15.
