I'd gone five months without a single scratch. A new guy cleaned my car the other day and guess what happened, three scratches on the middle of the nav screen. Any way to remove them? Does the cover over the screen detach?

Nope... you will have to replace the whole NAVI screen. Did you bring it to the attention of your servicing dealer when you got your car back? I did when I picked mine car up and showed my service guy. Did it under warranty.
