Sc Pricing ?

Well over the weekend, I had some car problem. SO I took my car into the shop. Right when I pull in The mechanic said nice ride, I have one too. That made me feel better since He has the same car therefore he KNOWS what his doing. Anyhow, he ask me if i was interested in a SC and I told him HELL YEAH but no money. He said he is not rushing to sell yet but any offers from me or anyone else he will sell considering the price. So what is a good price to offer him for a SC that is used about 1 year. And also how much is it usually for the SC installed. So 2 prices. The SC itself and installation. Thanks

Yea, $2,000 is kind of a low ball figure. $2,500 plus install sounds good for something that was worth about $4,000 a year ago.

i would say he didn't pay 4000 for the blower, with discounts he can get it new at 3000-3300

This is the first time hearing that you have to get a tranny cooler along with the SC. Although it is recomended it is not necessary and the tranny hasnt proven to increase the life of the tranny in anyway.

I would have to agree with car_lost, 2g's for an SC is a lowball offer and the only way you can get one for that price is if its hot.

it might not be helping if you don't go to the track, but if you do, for sure it helps from overheating the tranny

that was just my suggestion....you never know if it's gonna happen or not

it would be nice to have but it wont make any difference. i have one and im not SC'ed and my trannie still failed.

you can go down to your local auto parts store and get a cooler for about 40-50 bucks (depending on size)
