As for the rest of you go to Petitiononline.com and create your own free petition. You can use the same text just replace Minnesota with your state

These usually never work. But I'll sign anyway.
Their reasoning is because red light cameras need to catch the front light to have another confirmation of the violation in case there's a speeder, hit-and-run suspect, etc.

meh its going to stay the same, thats a state law and some bs online petition isn't gonna change it....also when its done like S1CK TypeS it looks nice, if i had to do it, i would put my plate like that.....but since i live in florida, i don't have to...:nana:....but all cars still come out of the dealer with a pos plate holder in the front....

I haven't had a plate on multiple cars for more than 5 years now....the petition seems a bit silly to me, but it sounds better than "vehicles look better without front plates". Reasons for having a front plate are less relevant than reasons for not having a front plate IMO. Being pulled over solely for no front plate is ridiculous in any state. I have been pulled over 3 times involving no front plate...
1 and 2 - For illegal limo tint twice by state patrol (the only people who care in CO, 50 dollar ticket each time, otherwise they didn't care. All about the money.) They mentioned I didn't have a front plate both times in a single sentence but that's it.
3 - For hitting VTEC (with I/H) in a tunnel, while still under the speed limit The cop was going the other way and at one edge of the tunnel while I was at the other. He flipped around and actually disrupted traffic to catch and pull me over. COP: I pulled you over for "revving your engine". ME: It was the high cam switching over and I was under the speed limit. COP: You also don't have a front license plate. ME: I wasn't aware that was required by law, but I just had some bumper work done anyway. COP: Ok well, have a good night and drive safe. "Don't hit that high cam too much, it's late".
I apologize for being a bit long in the tooth, but I thought it was relevant.

yup, on mine, i just flipped the holder upside down so it still sticks out a bit, but it looks so much better. and it acts like a bumper guard just like for a few of the other guys. so i dont mind too much. haha MA has a bunch of other stupid laws im more worried bout anyway

eh, i live in Mass. and with illegal tints on the S so i'll stick with the front plate. don't need to give the law enforcers a real reason to pull me over then come back with an extra $250 fine for the tints. don't like the front plates but i'll deal with them for the tints

Mine's been off for a good 2 months now. I don't think the police here really care though 'cause I've passed by many of 'em and nothing really happens. Do some car these days don't come with front license plates? It might just be Dallas, Tx? Because I've seen a lot of Lexus IS 250/350 or newer BMW and Mercedes w/o front license places...I don't think it matters much in Dallas... My friend's had his front license plate off his RSX-S for about 3 years now and still no police officer has pulled him over for it. I do know that in other cities in Texas, they do care though (I believe Austin cares).

here in houston, i've heard cars registered after september of this year only get one plate so basically they not coming with front plates anymore, but if you are registered before september you might have to wait until the next year to take off the plates. i've seen 1:3 ratio of cars with no front plates
