When ordering my TL-S, see separate post, the dealer also updated me on the new NSX. 430HP V-8 and at a lower cost than the current model! Definite Ferrari killer!!!
Notice how Acura is going after each market segment in a big way. TL: everything included at the best $ for the luxuxy entry market. MDX: best in class for the SUV class. NSX: best performance at a fraction of the cost. Integra: new model will have 220 HP and be a barn burner in its class.

 

Granted it will be nice to see a high hp NSX, but it's built on a completly different premise than its predecessor. Its not going to be hand built, its not going to be an all aluminum exotic. Its price is dropping to 50-60 grand making it as attainable and common as VR4's and Mark IV TT's, and Vette's in their time.

But then again, the domestic NSX-bashing will stop. We won't ever again hear the "Why pay 90 grand for a 5.0 sec 0-60?" again... thank goodness, I was getting tired of explaining it.

So a tradeoff... Oh and I bet it'll be a high revving 430 hp machine. With some 'realatively' meager 300 lb.ft of torque or the like. I don't think that it'll receive any flak though, considering that Ferrari has been doing that for years now with their V8's.... (F355, 360 Modena)

I think when it's time for me to get a new car, I'll definitely go for the NSX. When I graudate in 2 1/2 years.
