Save some $$$

I've read that some people have their cars serviced at their local Acura dealer. I don't do my own work (no time and lack of tools/ garage space), like oil and transmission fluid changes. My local Honda dealer in NJ (Willis Honda) gladly works on my car (00 TL). I just had a Mobil 1 filter and Mobil 1 5W-30 oil change done today- I provided the oil and filter of course, and had it done for $13.00, and also had them do my transmission fluid recently (with the Honda Z-1 fluid). If your local Honda dealer tells you they can't do simple work for you like transmission, oil, or coolant changes, go find a competing Honda dealer- it's definitely cheaper than going to Acura, and the work for the technician is basically the same as working on an Accord (yes, I know they are 2 different cars and engines!). Save some money!

Just wondering, why do you even go to a dealer for an oil change?

Like I said- I have a smaller garage and no jack stands/ hydraulic jack. Also, I can't afford to injure my hands for the work that I do, so it's easier for me to bring it to the dealer, which is essentially down the street from me. I have also heard horror stories of quick lube places not putting the right amount of oil in (usually they overfill), or of them not tightening the drain bolt properly (I know this can happen at the dealer as well). I'm only giving a suggestion, that's all. Plus, getting repairs done through Acura can be expensive.
