okay i called the acura owner's link thing, they said that the vin number on my vehicle falls into the transmission recall thing. I purchased this vehicle salvaged from a private sale, howeverl the previous owner had all the service work done at an actual acura dealer, Sunnyside Acura. (i have all workorders/ receipts) I've made contact with the dealer and verified the service work done on my vehicle, it comes back that there was service work done for the transmission.... The dealer stated that the oil jet was installed about a year ago. My question is if my vehicle is salvaged but the oil jet was installed, wouldn't that make me eligible for the 7yr/100k warranty? If the previous owner paid to have this work done wouldn't that override my vehicle being a salvage? I would really like to know if i even have a chance if i were 2 put in a claim for a new transmission. Thanks.

HOWEVER, that does not mean that my car is under the 7yr/100k warranty. Mainly because it was fixed before the salvaged title. if yours is fixed after the salvaged title, i think it would still not have the warranty.

From what I remember, the oil jet will be installed whether it's a salvaged title or not BUT the tranny replacement WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE on a salvaged title.

You're right NSXNEXT...
The oil jet is a recall, and everyone is entitled to the recall oil jet - but we all know it's useless because transmissions still fail with it.
The warranty is just that, a warranty. Voided if the car is salvaged. The chances of getting lucky and them not knowing are extremely slim. If they can find a way out of paying for your transmission, they will.

Thats the same thing; reconstructed/rebuilt means it hae nough damage at one point to be considered a total; loss, and has since been repaired.
