TL-S has a sport suspension giving it a firmer ride vs a more comfortable softer ride of the TL-P.

Type S has slightly firmer suspension but the same ground clearance (why oh why did they leave the SUV styling???)

There is another difference that is performance oriented, if not suspension per se.

The TLS has a faster steering ratio than my '99 TLP. It was quite an adjustment from my '95 Prelude. I look forward to eventually replacing mine with new TL/TSX to restore the more driver's oriented chassis settings.

I have a set of 03 TL-S springs. If anyone is interested. I have them since I switched to Comptech.

Let me know if anyone is interested...

FACTS (things I'm 100% sure about):

TLS rear sway bar is 1mm thicker than the TLP

TLS rims is 17 vs TLP @ 16

TLS has a wider turn radius than the TLP

RUMOR (things I'm not sure about):

TLS has firmer springs (if so...then can some1 say the numeric differences?)

TLS has firmer shocks (same as above. Saying "YES" doesn't help...give us values).

I thought there were only the TL and the TL-S available for the second generation. I guess Canada didn't get the TL-Premium version. What's the diff. between the TL and the TL-P ?

I'm pretty sure that a TL-P is a regular TL, I think they just added it so that it sounds fancier

TL = TL-P

TL-S also has torque-sensing steering system instead of speed-sensitive steering in the TL-P

Also, different seats (perforated and firmer in the Type-S)

Higher compression ratio, resulting in 35 more horsepower at 260, compared to 225.

It's not proven, but some people say they have different exhausts systems, too. I think they are the same. But I don't know for sure. They sure look the same, that's for damn certain.

The TL-S has an additional cylindrical device (resonator ?) just downstream of the 3-way catalytic converter that the TL-P doesn't have.

The "P" allows those that didn't front the cash for an "S" feel like they got something that is not base, but really is.
