So twice in a 6 month period a woman taking a side street in a private parking lot almost hit me head on because she was cutting the corner on a blind curve.
Well, 3rd time was the charm. $3700 in damage. On the bright side they took the front lip from a type S and placed it on my TL-P! The down side is I know what the kit SHOULD look like and want to place the rest of the kit on.
Oh, I had ordered a dash cam because of her. It arrived later in the day AFTER she hit me. A few days after the accident I got the recall letter saying my airbag could kill me if it deploys.

Sucks to hear about that. Nice that you got a lip too! May want to see if you can leave the intake resonator out of the car. If they give you a new one, ask to see if it can be left off. Makes it easier if you decide to get a CAI.

 

Guessing the air bag failed to activate......was the car totalled ?
Don't worry about the camera being late, with playing the odds ..... it may catch the next corner cutter on that same blind curve to the parking lot.

 

The air bag did not open. I guess her last second swerve to my left made the difference. I screamed at her right after the accident. I wasn't so mad she hit me, but that she had not learned from the previous 2 times. She admitted fault (thank God). Surprisingly the car was not totaled.
Even tho the ONLY person I ever had a problem with on that private side road was her, I don't go that way anymore.
