S**t happened last night...

My dad went outside this morning to start his car and stumbled upon this...

My sister altima which had an Avic Z2 in it.

My fuckin alarm went off at 2 am and i looked out my window and turned it off and i didnt see shit, i kept looking every minute for like 30 mins after that. I was sleepin on my keys so i thought that the panic might have gotten pushed somehow and i read up on threads about how the alarm goes off randomly. I was about to go out and check wat happen but my mom didnt want me to. My parents come wake me up and this is the shit to start my day off. I swear if i come face to face with these mother fuckers i'm gonna kill em, happen right in my driveway! It's a scary feeling when it happens at home. Anyways, they took my jensen uv9 and my gps and my sisters avic z2 and radar. I had my sub in the trunk too but the mother fuckin cocksuckers were too stupid to figure out how to open it. What really fuckin sucks is that we switched to liability insurance not even a month ago cuz money was getting tight and now this shit happens and its not covered, not even under homeowners cuz it was on the property. but at the end of the day i thank GOD cuz things could have been much worse.

Oh ya, if anyone can keep an eye out in the chicago area i'd really appreciate it. thanks.

WOW, sorry to see this man...in your own driveway...that sucks

I'm not sure, but isn't the radio worthless without the code to unlock it? Or is it easy to do.

I didn't have the stock radio in there, it was a jensen.

I want an alarm so bad, because I have nightmares about stuff like this.

I keep my TL in the garage.

He's right, I wanted to go out and check but my mom was like even if someones out there you shouldn't go cuz who knows who it is and they could be armed and there ARE dirtbags out there that would harm for even a $20 crack rock.

Why didn't you call the cops? You pay taxes so that the Police Force can keep citizens safe. You should have definitely called the police. I have no idea why you or your mom didn't.

I know, I regret it now. I was just thinking i rolled over on my keys and somehow the panic button got pushed. Also the thoughts of "what are the chances it could happen to me" come into play.

Check craigslist and ebay and any type of local trading places. That'll be your best bet to find what youve lost. Sorry to hear that this happened.

Sucks dude but in a case like this it only takes about 10 min to snatch a radio and go. I snatched my radio out of my car when it caught on fire in 30 seconds. Once you hear that alarm you need to act. 9 times out of 10 thiefs are cowards and if they see you they will run. I hope everything works out for you.

shit man seeing all these stories about cars getting stolen, broken into just scares me... yeah i was at the acura dealership a week or two ago getting my transmission replaced and they had an 03 tl it was beautiful with the chrome type s rims, wing, oem lip kit everything and well some douchebags apparently stole the whole face off of it and left it only w/ a pair of sideskirts and they did this right off the acura dealership... so crazy man.. makes me want to upgrade my alarm

^agreed. At least u still have the car..even tho havin to put money into it when money is tight sux.
I got an 89 Accord jacked right from my driveway just for my low-rider rims which werent even complete (no caps).
The shittiest part was that they did it without breakin any windows or f**kin up the ignition which i have no idea how they did. i know that they coulda just opened the door with another similar lookin key as we opened it once on accident with our toyota pickup's key but to not mess up the switch baffles me. Crackheads do some crazy shit nowadays.

Hope it goes well for ya from here on out..

One of the first things you should get for you car is a alarm. I think its pretty stupid to throw subs, decks, rims, or anything without a alarm. 200 bucks gets you a nice alarm.
Did they cut the glass or something? The way things are now, its just going to get worse. Sorry to hear man. If i leave my car out ill still check on it if the alarm goes off. A 2 minute walk even to learn if its a false alarm will help.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Your car appearance is as normal as it can be, I wonder what attracted them. Did you listen to music loud in your neighborhood? I guess after all paying for the alarm that it didn't pay for itself.

Sorry to hear this happened to you.

I agree with your mom though and your follow-up corroborates her good judgement.

You would be pissed off and not thinking straight. Much better your car get F'd up than you.

On the bright side, it doesn't look like they did a lot of collateral damage. It looks like they limited themselves to getting in and taking what they thought was valuable.

They could have easily done $1000s more in vandalism in a few seconds.

I know none of this is any comfort now.

damn! thats terrible bro... This is the reason I bought an alarm with 2-way pager... it gets annoying when somebody in my complex sets it off with their system... but its all worth it knowing you will always hear your pager going off if somebody as much as barely knocks on your window... i would have them install some type of bright LED in there as well so people know u have an alarm... even though they will still go for what they want reguardless if you have an alarm or not... that being said, after you repair everything I would say you spend the first cash you get on a decent alarm.... good luck buddy

Same thing happened to me about 5 years ago. Right in my driveway, about 20 feet from my bedroom window.. $600 Alpine head unit out of my car, and they tried to get my wifes Alpine from hers. She was the smart one-took her faceplate off and brought it inside, I was the dumass that left mine on the radio. They did smash her window to get in the car however.

I dont put expensive head units in cars anymore because of that.

Its probably not going to happen, but hope they find your stuff. Thieves are the lowest scum IMO.

with economy down the toilet, shit like this will happen more often. Looks like they were trying to jack your car with all those wires hanging, must be your alarm scared them off.

go buy a shotgun and peek out the window at night, shoot their ass off next time.
