RPM Issue

RPM Issue
I just had my motor oil changed recently in a local shop. Since then I found the rpm indicator acts different than before - the idle speed is slightly higher, from 750 to 1000, and every time I press the brake, the rpm falls to 1000 and then go back up to 1500-2000, then fall down to 1000 again. I also noticed more vibration from steering.
Does it have anything to do with the motor oil? If not, what might be the possible issue? Thanks for the help!

Reset ECU and that should fix your problem. Use SEARCH to figure out how to do it.\

You kind of describe the problem I'm having (here)...only thing is I doubt it had anything to do with oil. But now that you mention it, I did get an oil change @ Jiffy Lube before all my problems started. I'll be watching this thread...

Has nothing to do with the oil. If your RPM is going up and down its most likely the IAC valve. Clean the IACV and it should solve it.

Thanks for the great suggestions. Haven't had a chance for the past two days to reset ECU / check the IACV and will do so tomorrow.
What I've found today was, when I drive at manual mode, the rpm seemed to be normal but once I switched to automatic (D5), the timing of gear switching and the supply of the fuel weren't as smooth as before, so that the RPM was up and down. It seems to me that the engine got too much fuel when switched to the lower gear and there was a momentum to push the car forward.
Still don't understand why it happened RIGHT AFTER the oil change....
