Hi All:

My TL-S is reaching 3,600 miles. And starting a few weeks ago,
the engine becomes rough after ignition. It idles ok after driving
for a while even though it still shakes a little.

Anybody having the same problem? I drove the car semi-aggressively. I haven't done any oil change yet. Would an oil
change make a difference ?

Yea, my car is very similar. The RPM's don't move, but the car shakes a bit. It was worse when the car was new, but now at 4,000 miles, this problem seems to be diminishing.

 

Do a search on this topic--I know there was an extensive thread on this a few weeks back.

The verdict: some TL-Ss seem to have it some don't. Mine does have the rough idle, but only in comparison to my '97 Maxima SE. Everything else is smooth and it only seems to be a problem when the engine is cold. But it isn't something I'm too concerned with...
