RIP front tints
RIP front tints
just got done removing my front tints
i needed to in order to pass inspection in germany and finally get my plates.
man does this suck. i always laughed at ppl with just rears or fronts lighter than the rears. now look at me
i was just gonna get them redone, but out here you get inspected every year. seeing as i'll be here for atleast 3 more years that'll be too pricey
has anyone ever had any luck with those non-adhesive static tints? or can think of any other options?

go to the doctor get a medical exemption. i just got mine (for light sensitivity) ... so now my 20% all around and 50% on the windshield is legal and will pass inspection
...i dont know if they do that in germany, but its always worth a try...

i dont know what i'm gonna do. i hate the look of my ride with no front TINT. its like having a hot wife and once she has kids you dont want anything to do with her anymore.
lol. great way to put it! im currently using that static tint for my front windows. theyre 5%. theyll last you a while as long as you dont keep removing them. i removed mine like 10 times on my girls accord and they started to look like shit. give them a try. they dont cost much.

where did you get them?
do they come in 30%?
did they install like regular tint? (ie. fitted on the window outside with heat gun before applying inside)

Get a second set of front window glass. When you get a fix it ticket or have a inspection swap them out. I did that and both sides cost me about 100 bucks at a wreckage yard.
thats great news. i figure i'll take them off when i have to get inspected or when "politzie" pull me over on the autobahn.

you dont need to use a heat gun or any adhesives to apply the tint, just press it on to the window and slide a credit card or whatever to remove the bubbles on the underside of the tint. check out the link below. its 20%. you should contact the seller to see if they sell lighter shade tint. hope this helps.

haha i plan on going double layered tint on my windows. i see fine at night... i used to have 5% on my nissan maxima. when i drive in untinted cars its more distracting to be quite honest.
Stay away from static tint, it looks like youre looking at a fuzzy television, all it does is distort your view. I say just tint the front yourself here in the states its 15$ for a roll of good stuff that will be long enough to do the front windows. When inspection comes around just take em off. Believe me dont waste money on static cling.
sounded like you were speeding? sounds like they like to give americans a hard time.
i'm stationed at ramstein. you close? we should cruise, its starting to get nice
