ride height w/ new shocks

i have h and r springs on my car...but am looking for a bit more of a drop to fill the well a little more whne i put my rims on...once o get shocks (koni or tokico), would i be able to lower it any, or not....i dont wanna get rid of my h and rs and get coilovers cuz that is too much $...so when my stock shocks go, i am just gonna replace them with performance ones...would i be able to lower the ride hieght with performance shocks?

in theory you can set the koni on the lower perch, but it isn't recommended. The tokicos will not give you any lower ride height either. Shocks aren't meant for lowering the car. Your best bet is just getting some different springs if you are looking for more of a drop, considering you have to take apart the whole strut assembly to put the new shocks in anyways.
