I have a 2002 Acura TL Type-S and the annoying engine light came on at 7500 miles, I presume to get me to take it to the dealership for an expensive oil change. I change the oil myself. Any way to reset the light? It is driving me nutzo.

Im glad someone revisited this thread. My "Maintenance Required" light flashes for about 15 seconds when I initially start the car. This ony began three days ago when my odometer hit appx 6200 miles. I am not certain whether this is linked to an engine servicing checkpoint, or if it is something more serious. Please let me know if any of you all have experienced anything of the like.

The owner's manual tells you how to reset it.

The owner's manual will also explain the flashing of the light prior to 7500 miles.
